Good morning Bloggers!
It's another Challenge Day!
Today's ScrapFit Challenge is called "Around The House".
The challenge is to use something you have around the house either in a technique or as an embellishment on your page.
As a long-time preschool teacher, I am pretty much the Queen of making Masterpieces out of trash.
I debated long & hard about how to approach this challenge.
There are soooo many options.
I could use-- well, almost anything to paint or stamp with:
*Dish wands
*Mesh shower scrubbies
*Toys
*Sponges
*Food
*Crumpled Newspaper or Tin Foil
*Baskets
*A rolling pin wrapped in rubber bands
*Feathers
I finally settled on making a page for my BOM using something that's ALWAYS around the house!
Supplies: Cardstock: DCWV, PP: Bo Bunny, Pigment Ink: Ink It Up!, Flowers: Prima, Cricut Cartridge: Quarter Note, Other: Stickles,Ric Rac
Yup- those are footprints on the cardstock.
And yes, they really are mine.
I just took off my flippies, inked up the bottom of my foot just like you would a child's & stepped on the cardstock.
(I did get quite a bit of ink on the floor while doing this so I would recommend that you do this on a tiled or wood surface for cleaning purposes. Or, you could just not have 4 kids under the age of 2 crawling on you while you do it. Then you could do it where ever you want.)
Mostly, this page is just very very ME.
But I also thought it would be neat for my great-grandkids to see what my footprints looked like.
Imagine if you had footprints or fingerprints from your ancestors. How cool would that be?
I plan on doing a fingerprint page to go with this one.
In the mean time, I'm packing a bag & getting geared up for GASC Arlington this weekend.
I've lived here in Dallas more than 4 years now, but this will be my first time.
I can't wait!
I'll be back early next week with lots of pics!
In the mean time, don't forget to check out the ScrapFit site (linked above) for lots more "Around The House" inspiration and a chance to win a great prize from Scrapbook Circle!
