Kick The Winter Blues

Hello Friends!

I'm sorry that I have been AWOL for the past few days.

This moving thing is not for wimps.

And I'm pretty sure that every single possible thing has gone wrong.

Broken toilet, leaking dishwasher,  unhooked outlets (why?why?why? would you do that??)
broken drill bits, lights that fall down, cable guys who don't show up.. ACK!

But  we're almost done and tomorrow should be the last hurdle.

The plumber comes to fix the leaking dishwasher, and the fence guy should be here to start on the new fence.

And if all goes as planned, I'll probably kiss them both.

Speaking of almost done, my new studio is THIS close to being finished!
And it's FABULOUS!
I can't wait to show it to you!
Hopefully I will get it finished this weekend & be able to show you pictures next week!

In the meantime, I have a fun new layout to share.
This one is my take on ScrapFit's new color challenge:

Supplies: Cardstock: American Crafts, PP: DCWV Nana's Kitchen Stack, Chipboard Letters: Making Memories, Cuttlebug Folder: Swiss Dots, Cricut Cartridge: From My Kitchen, Paint & Glitter Paint: Making Memories

This project was fun.
It gave me a chance to get some older photos scrapped and use some of my stash
that I haven't touched in a while.

You can see the rest of the FitGirl's projects HERE .

Didn't they do a great job?

I'll be back to regular posts soon.
I promise!
Until then, keep scrapping!

Super Bowl blog Hop!!

Welcome to the Super Bowl Blog Hop!!!

It's a totally Sporty kinda day!

I have to say, as a general rule, I'm not much of a sports fan.

Probably because I am the least coordinated person alive.

The closest that I ever came to being athletic was marching in the Color Guard in high school.

And I'm pretty sure that doesn't actually count as a sport.

Thankfully, the Wii makes it possible for me to pretend to have some sort of athletic talent (ha!) and, in theory, possible for me to actually beat Steve at something.

(Again I say, in theory)

I also wanted to share with you the cute invites that I made for our Super Bowl Party.

Ok, so it's gonna have to be Next year's Super Bowl Party
because

a) the Cowboys are Our Team and inspired the card, but lost and lost and lost this year

and

b) it snowed like mad in Dallas after an ice storm, making it utterly impossible for us to be moved into the new house in time.  Pretty sure this one is just Mother Nature messing with me.....

I hope you enjoyed the projects (I love to hear what you think!!)

You can find more sporty inspiration by hopping on over to visit Nicollette

Thanks for joining us on our hop!!!

Dream Big

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Are you shivering where you are?
We certainly are here in Dallas.

It's icy & snowy  and 0, yes 0 degrees outside, according to the thermometer outside my kitchen door.

I moved to Texas to get AWAY from this kind of thing.

Guess Mother Nature didn't get that memo.

And that just makes it a good day to stay inside and share my first ever Design Team Layout with you!

The first challenge this month on ScrapFit  is:
Dream  A Little Dream.

Supplies: Cardstock: American Crafts, PP: Various Scraps, Cricut Cartridge: Smiley Cards, Robotz, Other:Stickles, Acetate, StazOn

I chose to scrap my dreams for 2011.

I think "dream" is a much better word than "resolution".

Resolution makes it sound like
"You will do this or you will break rocks & make license plates for the rest of your life, you heathen you".

Dreams is better.

You can find the rest of the Fit Girls layouts HERE  at the ScrapFit website.

You can also enter a project of your own for a chance to win a great prize kit from Lucky Girl Crafts, so make sure you enter soon!

Can't wait to see what you come up with!
