Trick or Treat!

The Halloween Decor is out.

The Skeleton is at his post next to the front door.

The apples are on the counter waiting to be made into crisp.

The spooky music CD was located.

The Halloween cards are mailed.

My toes are painted black with orange glitter.

My costume has arrived and is ready to go.

I'm READY!

Well, as ready as I ever am with a week still to go.

I've still got a few things left to do:
I need to pick up some moccasins to go with my costume.
We need to pick up our pumpkins for carving.
I need to get some Rice Krispies for the Treats.
I need some sort of nut-free treat to take to school on Friday for my class.
Oh, and I still need to get trick-or-treat candy...

Ok, so maybe I'm not ready, but at least all of my Halloween layouts from last year are done!
(That's an accomplishment, right?)

I posted 2 a couple of weeks ago.

And now, here are the rest!

Could NOT wait to find a way to use this haunted tree.  Scary & cute all at the same time!

LOVE to use wiggle eyes.  Can you tell I've gone back to teaching preschool?  lol

Photos just don't do this one justice.  I used a cute Stampin' Up spider web wheel stamp to do the background.  It looks great in person, but I just couldn't get it to show in the pictures.

Supplies: Cardstock: DCWV, Patterned Paper: K& Co. , Stickers & Sticker Borders: K & Co., Witch Stamp: Inkadinkadoo, Bat Buttons: Favorite Findings, Ric Rac: Wrights, Misc. Trim: Unknown, Cricut Cartridge: Happy Hauntings, Stickles and, of course, wiggle eyes!

I've got to say, I'm love love LOVING this Happy Hauntings cartridge.  It was one that I liked but really didn't think I needed.  I bid on an Ebay auction with a super-low top price, and, to my surprise, won.  Guess it was fate.  We were meant to be together.  A cartridge that I didn't think I needed and I've used it way more than others that I HAD to have.  Maybe Ebay knows me better than I know myself....
Anyway, I've still got a week to get the rest of the things on my Halloween To-Do list done.
Including watching "It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" and, my personal favorite, "Hocus Pocus".  (Does one ever outgrow Bette Midler & Sarah Jessica Parker up as 300 year old witches?)
I'll let you know how it goes!

Hope your Haunting is a Happy one!!

The Big Project

Here's the question of the day:

What do you give one of your oldest and dearest friends when she not only gets married , but asks you to be a bridesmaid?

Answer:

A king-size, hand made quilt that very nearly gets you arrested at the airport on the way to the wedding because it was absolutely necessary to threaten the lives of the check-in agent, the TSA agent, the baggage handlers, the pilot, the co-pilots, the flight attendants, the Air Marshall  and anyone else who might ever even consider losing, damaging, breathing on or thinking about smudging the 15 lbs. of fabric that you just invested nearly a year of your life hand quilting.

Easy right??

Ok, so fast-forward 3 years and same wonderful friend is about to have her first child and sadly, you live several states away and can't make it to the shower.  What do you send her as a baby gift?

Well, the quilt thing is soooo 2007.

New Baby must have an album!

First, let me apologize for the quality of some of the photos.  I musta been high on Diamond Glaze or somethin' when I took  'em.  Sadly, the insane crooked-ness of  them did not allow me to crop out much of the grubby-craft-table-as-backdrop, nor did it allow for most of the Stickle-y goodness to show. I'll work on that for next time.

One last thing before I hit the hay for tonight.

With any gift there must be a card!!

My list of supplies is reaaaaly long, & it's reaaaaaly late, but if you want to know about something specific, please let me know & I'll be happy to share product info.

Hopefully, 10 years from now, Miss Morgan will look through her album now & then and know that Mommy & Daddy (and Auntie Gigi!) love her very much!  <3
