Fun Stuff

This past week has been allll kinds of crazy.  I have some really fun new stuff to share with you today though.

Supplies: Cardstock & PP: DCWV, Rub On: Making Memories, Fiber: Lion Brand Fun Fur
These photos are from  Hannah's First birthday.  She turns 11 at the end of the summer.  At this age, I think we all sometimes need a reminder of how sweet they were when they were tiny and hadn't yet learned to talk back.

Supplies: Cardstock: The Paper Studio,  PP: DCWV, Flowers: Prima, Brads: Queen & Co., Cricut Cartridge: Sans Serif Solutions
I found this photo of me as a baby buried in a huge pile of photos that I inherited when my Grandmother passed.  It just  made me laugh.  Living in Texas, where everyone seems to be Coke fans, I'm often teased about my affection for all things Pepsi. Now I have photographic proof that it's ALWAYS been my favorite!  lol

Supplies: PP: DCWV, Stickers: Colorbok, Brads: JoAnn Craft Essentials, Flowers: Prima
This one... well, I think this one pretty much explains itself!  lol

I am still working on my yearly album, but sometimes I just want to work on something fun. That's what these were for me.
Hope you enjoy them!

Home Again

Hello friends!

Here I am, home again from our trip to Mexico.  We had a great time!  It was not quite as warm as I would have liked, but we had a ball anyway.

We got our nails done, visited the oldest winery in Ensenada, lost a little money in the casino, embarrassed the life out of the guy in the spa, had the tastiest chocolate dessert on earth, drank a something fruity & rum-filled from a coconut, and generally had a great time.

Hopefully, I will have something crafty to share soon.  I had plans for creating on Wednesday that were thwarted by the need to re-build part of my craft room.  Seems the heavy shelf that holds all of my Cricut Cartridges came crashing down in my absence.  Steve wasn't home much while I was gone, so no one realized this till I found all of my cartridges on the floor on Wednesday.  No good at all.    But everything is now back in place.  I'll just keep my fingers crossed that the lighter load will actually stay on the wall this time.

Hope you all had a very happy week.  I would love to see what you've created!

Bon Voyage

Mom & I are leaving on our trip in the morning.  HURRAY!!!  It's cruise time!!  But I had to post one more thing before I left.  So here's my little goodie.

Supplies: Chipboard, Paper: DCWV, Stamps: Heidi Grace, Punches: EK Success

This little accordion book is a pre-made that I made & brought with me to LA.  It holds appx. 16 3x3 photos.  When Mom & I get back from the cruise, we'll print off  the best of the best photos, trim 'em up, paste 'em in, & ship the whole thing off to Gram back in NY.  I kept it pretty simple so it wouldn't be too bulky to mail, but I think she'll like it.

See you all when I get back, cruise photos in hand!

Hope you all have a wonderful week.  I know we will!

Happy Mother's Day

I hope you all had a wonderful family-filled Mother's Day.  Now that it's gone on past, I can finally post this year's cards.

Supplies: Card base: DCWV, Paper: K & Co.,
Cricut Cartridges: Mother's Day Mini & Designer's Calendar

Supplies:  Card base: DCWV, Paper: K & Co,
Ric Rac: Wrights, Sentiment: Studio G
Flowers: EK Success Punches

Most years, I never can decide right down to the last minute, who is going to receive which card, but this year was easy.  My Mom's favorite color is orange, so I knew right away which one to send her.

The best part of Mother's Day for us this year is that it fell just 4 days before Mom & I leave on a cruise together.  It's our first trip with just the 2 of us & I can't wait!  Gotta go pack!!

Cup Holder

I can't really take credit for this one.  This one was a gift from my friend Mary, who is also the sewing instructor at my store.  She is a great one for coming up with cute, practical projects.  This one is her most recent, given to me on Teacher Appreciation Day.

Isn't that cute??  I love it! It is just your basic coffee mug, but she's stitched this cute cover for it that has pockets, pockets & more pockets all the way around the outside & the inside.

Being just the size of a coffee mug, it doesn't take up much desk space and now all of my most-used tools are all together in one spot and super easy to find. Best of all, the cover is held on with Velcro, so in a few weeks, when it's covered in dust & paper scraps & cat hair, I can just toss it in the wash! Brilliant!

So a HUGE thank you to Miss Mary for her thoughtfulness and for helping me along my way in my quest to get the craft room organized.

Hope you all have a wonderful crafty day!!

Boy Oh Boy

Hello all!  How was your day?  Mine was great!  I love love LOVE the days that I don't have to go to work & can spend the whole day in my craft room.  Today was one of those days!  Hurray!

So here are the results of my day.  I made the Daddy's Girl denim album last week, so today I decided that I needed to do a boy-themed one to go with it.

Supplies:  Chipboard, Paper & Accents: DCWV All About Boys Stack, Bind It All, Boyfriend's Old Jeans

I also made some super-cute mini cards, but I'll share those tomorrow.

Nighty Night!

Wedding Bells

It's officially May!  Which means that we are well into Wedding Season.  Several of my regular card buyers have requested wedding cards, so that's how I spent my morning.  They're all variations on the same basic card, but I changed up the texture & color for a little variety.

Supplies: Card Base: DCWV, Cardstock: The Paper Co., Embossing Folders: Provocraft, Flowers: EK Success Punches, Brads: Recollections, Sentiments: Art Gone Wild
I worked on some Mother's Day Cards too, but I won't post those till next week.  (Mom might be watching!)

Hope you have  a wonderful happy day today!

Happy National Scrapbook Day!

Hello friends!  I hope you all had a wonderful and creative National Scrapbook Day.  I spent a good portion of my celebrating hours continuing on the organization quest.  But I made HUGE progress & am thrilled with it.  I did a little bit of creating-- it was NSD, after all.  I created these party invitations that I will be putting up for sale at the bazaar next weekend.

Supplies:
Cardstock & base -DCWV
Stamp: The Paper Studio
Embossing Powder: Copper Kate
Cricut Cartridges: Stand & Salute

I thought these would be fun invites for a Memorial Day or July 4 BBQ or even a homecoming party for your favorite military hero.

So what did YOU make on National Scrapbook Day??
