Such A Drag

Good morning friends!

I hope you all had a fabulously safe & food-filled Thanksgiving.

We stuffed ourselves silly for 4 days and I will now spend the next 2 weeks trying to diet/exercise it all off so that my Christmas dress fits.
Totally worth it!

I also managed to get the Christmas decorations up and even did a little scrapping (you know between episodes of stuffing my face).

This layout is actually from a night out with friends more than 4 years ago, but I love the way it came out.

Supplies: Cardstock:DCWV, PP & Alphas: Colorbok, Bling: Unknown

I love how fun this layout came out.

So, did you do any scrapping over your long weekend?

I would love to see what you created!

Once Upon A Time Again

Good morning bloggers.

Are you all ready for Thanksgiving?

No, me neither.

Oh well.  I'm guessing we will somehow find a way to stuff ourselves silly anyway.

I wanted to share a few more of the older layouts from my Steve-O album today.

You can see the first post of these HERE.

I apologize for the less-than-stellar photography on these pages.
I'm working on improving it.

These ones are not event-specific, but more just general, time spent together.

I wish I could give you specifics about the products used, but these were made a few years ago & I just don't remember.

I have to say, flipping through these pages left a big ole lump in my throat.
I'm so glad that we have them & will always be able to look back at the early parts of our relationship.

(To say nothing of-- Look how THIN I was!
I'm gonna look that way again soon.)

I hope they have been helpful to you!

Once Upon A Time

Happy Monday Bloggers.

I hope you all had a lovely, productive weekend.

I have some older pages that I wanted to share with you today.

One of the PEAS had a request for some suggestions on making a "Couple" album this weekend, so I decided to post some pages from my Steve-O album.

When Steve & I first started dating in July of '07, I didn't take a lot of pictures in the beginning.

I didn't want to be "the crazy girl that took pictures on the first date" and really, in the first few weeks, who knows if it will turn into anything, right?

So, I went back later & took photos of some of the places that we went on our first few dates.

I only did this for July-December of 2007.

Starting in 2008, he is just part of my regular yearly album.

(I apologize now for the awful quality of the photos.
My only excuse is that I was still in shock that my Cowboys actually won a game.
I made most of these pages 3 years ago or so, so I'm guessing at some of the supplies too.  Sorry.)

This is the opening page of our album.
Supplies: PP:DCWV, Gold Vellum: Paper Studio, Other: Stickles, home printer

The first page is not shown, because it is nothing but a big pocket.
We met on Match.com, so I printed out our profiles & our first few emails to put in the pocket.

This is from our first date.
A friend took the photo of me right before I left to meet him.
The photo of him is downloaded from his Match.com profile.
Supplies: PP: Paper Studio -- I think, Emblie: Colorbok, Other: Ribbon, Buttons

We went bowling on our second date, so I took a pic of the bowling alley.
The journaling is hidden behind the photo.
Supplies: PP:DCWV, Bowling Stickers: Jolees

Our Third date, I took him to Culvers for dinner& then to the mall to play Lunar Mini Golf.
Supplies: Cardstock:DCWV, PP:Unknown, Flowers: Wrights, Alpha Stickers: DCWV, Punch: Unknown, Large Tag Die: Sizzix, Other: Stickles, large brad

Since neither of us was living alone at that time, we spent a lot of time wandering the neighborhood talking, so I wanted to add a page about that too.
All of the photos are benches in the neighborhood where we sat for hours, getting to know each other.
Supplies: Storytellers Club, Cardstock: DCWV, Alpha Stickers: Making Memories, Cricut Cartridge: Doodletype-I think, Other: Stickles, Buttons

Just a couple of weeks after we met, I had a birthday.
My friend Sarah made me a nice dinner & invited him.
Because it was my birthday, it was a good excuse for her to take lots of pictures of us together.
(Which worked out good, as my Mom really wanted to see pictures of the hunky Marine I was dating.)
Supplies: Cardstock: DCWV, Page Kit: Colorbok

After dinner, he took me to my very first Texas Rangers game.
Supplies: PP: Unknown, Cardstock: DCWV, Alpha Stickers: Making Memories, Stickers: Jolees, Cricut Cartridge: Opposites Attract, Stamp: Fiskars-I think

My journaling is tucked behind the photo.
The "Champs" stamp serves as the pull tab for the journaling card.

I love to look back at these pages.
Every time I do, they make me smile.

Tomorrow, I'll show you a few more from this album.

Till then, I hope you have a fabulous day.

By The Numbers

Good morning Friends!

Have you ever felt like making a layout but just didn't have any photos to go with it?

I do that sometimes.

I have one of those fun supplement magazines that Simple Scrapbooks used to publish with all these great daily quizzes and questions in it.

This layout is the result of one of those.

Supplies: PP:DCWV, Cardstock:Paper Studio, Ribbon:Wrights, Flowers: Prima, Flower Brads: Retail Inc., Cricut Cartridge: Robotz

I love the idea of recording random, everyday stuff.

Hope you all are having a fabulous fall!
